Apparently this community has been dead for like 3 years... but if there's anyone who has since graduated, I would love to hear what you thought of your time at MIAD! I'm planning on going there next fall, but I am starting to feel really stressed out about how expensive it is- do you think that overall, it was worth the price tag?
Or just any kind of advice/thoughts/stories would be nice :)

Art Therapy Volunteering
I have recently finished a summer volunteering in the Ronald McDonald House's Art Therapy program. It was an opportunity I savor and regret that I had to leave due to a conflct with my Fall Semester schedule. They are currently looking for a new volunteer for either Mondays or Thursdays between 1 and 5pm. As a volunteer, you assist the Art Therapist and help children through art projects. This is a great way to get experience with children, whether for a career in art therapy, childhood education, art education, or whatever else. It is really fun and I hope I can do it again during the spring semester. The RMDH is in Wauwautosa across the street from the children's hospital off the 10 busline (and some other buslines), so it's a bit of a ride via public transportation, but I've used the bus all summer. However, if you have a car it should be no problem at all.
Feel free to leave a comment if you're interested. I will gladly give you more information.

Does anyone, particularly anyone that lives in the dorms, play video games? I am just curious because I would definitely like to have people to play with. I work at EB Games and have a crap load of games if anyone ever wants to play... The only people I really know that play go to MSOE... Current Mood: curious

How's everyone's semester going?
What classes is everyone taking?
Who wants to do me?
Is anyone having problems?
Is anyone having problems because they can't stand wanting to do me so bad?
Feel free to discuss these questions and more in comment form.

Hey MIAD people! This place is right across the river from you....
Look, there is this awesome new bar right outside of the 3rd ward. It's called Moct. Sunday nights, WMSE's very own DJ's Erik
host a very fashionable night of debauchery. We throw down everything from Wire to Stereolab to Lali Puna to Talking Heads to My Bloody Valentine to Gary Numan to Fad Gadget to Kid 606 to god knows what else. Moct
is a seriously hot
In the words of a dear friend "Moct, pronounced most, is this beautiful Serbian bar/club place. It was designed by someone from NYC so it's not like anything else I have seen. It has that stark, mechanical interior that appeals to nervous conditions. But it’s balanced with beautiful golden wood tables and bamboo and stones, and those orange bathrooms."
Remember, this and every Sunday @ Moct Bar, 240 E. Pittsburgh Ave. Just east of Water Street. 9PM - 2AM
No cover. Drink specials.
Hot bartenders. Hot patrons. Hot music.
You have no excuse.
